What is your job title and what does your work involve?
My job title is: Junior Merchandiser Retail.
My role covers complete merchandise management for our retail business: procurement, as well as intraseasonal merchandise handling, best-seller management and then deriving customer trends and impressions, and location and competitor comparisons.
How did you come to work at Wortmann?
I started as a Store Manager at the store in Minden and after a year I moved to the head office in Detmold and the Retail division. My experience in a store was of great benefit in merchandise purchasing because I am better able to assess customer requirements and therefore plan for them more effectively.
What makes your job special?
The role of Junior Merchandiser Retails is very varied. From store openings and merchandise planning, regular store visits and monitoring sales and the latest trends thought to the highlight of the year - the buying. The close contact with the stores and sales constantly brings new challenges and plenty of variety.

There have been so many special experiences in the past few years. But what really sticks in my mind is the development and growth in recent years, and to know that you have played a part in this success while gathering lots of interesting experience.
